Young dancers will be able to perfect their plies after receiving money from a education charity for a new ballet barre.
The Barbara Hooton School of Dancing is the latest beneficiary of a grant from the Finedon Educational Charity.
They received money for the installation of a ballet barre which will be used by up to 200 children each week.
The dance school, which holds classes in Burton Latimer, Finedon, Wellingborough, Earls Barton and Irthlingborough, has been teaching ballet, tap and modern dance to children for more than 40 years.
Each year they give a performance to the public and the proceeds go to Breast Cancer Research.
The dance school was successful in its bid to Finedon Educational Charity, which was set up in 1980 to promote the education and development of young people living in Finedon.
A piece of land was left to the charity but it is only now, more than 30 years on, that they have been able to sell it and reap the benefits.
Money from the sale can be invested and then any income from this becomes a pot of cash to help out individuals, groups or schools in Finedon for educational purposes.
Groups which have received money from the charity in the past include the Friends of Finedon Library, Finedon Infant and Finedon Mulso Junior Schools and Finedon Dolben Cricket Club.
The charity has given out £20,000 over the past 12 months to schools, organisations and individuals in Finedon.
The scheme is open to all Finedon children up to 19-years-old.
