Originally ABOUT Dance was born from an immediate need to help fund three years of vocational dance training.

Upon successfully achieving that initial and most important requirement, the ABOUT Dance business continues by working, evolving towards providing online service/resources for the dancing community.

As the name suggests ABOUT Dance is a niche business set up to develop and provide specific online services primarily to the whole of the UK’s dance community.

One side of the business is that of a managed online Dance Directory, an online resource that helps the dance community to be more centrally able to easily identify and locate their needs and requirements of the here and now, i.e. involved and required in the wishing and working towards the goal of becoming a professional dancer.

The aim is to continually build a strong and active dance core of service businesses and organisations. we’re working tirelessly to build a useful resource to include all Dance Styles as well as all types of Dance Schools, Dance Suppliers, Dance Organisations and Dance related Businesses.

For a growing number of people, it’s all about dance not only initially as a hobby, but also as a long-term career which many wish to pursue.

There are other planned services which we plan to develop in the future, such as the centralised recording of a progressing Career Profile of the Professional Dancer.

Although we’re purely about dance we’re not a funded or grant-assisted business, as such, we’re looking towards this dance directory website being able to provide suitable resources to enable further development of the whole ABOUT Dance business model.
