This dance directory website is a UK based dance directory which aims to be recognised not only by name but also for its comprehensive coverage and assistance to the whole dance community. 

Currently, there are an expanding number of dance directory type websites out there which seem to serve varying purposes, some claim to be targeting a global dance market, some say they’re targeted nationally and others claim to be local. 

Many of these dance directories are operated by media companies, while others are operated by individuals and there are those which are operated via dance organisations funded via the arts council as part of the remit to expose the art of dance to a wider community. 

None of us could have failed to recognise how dance has grown over recent years both as a physical activity as well as visual activity. In fact, it was highlighted by Alistair Spalding, chief executive and artistic director; Sadler's Wells in late 2012 that dance is now second only to football as the most popular activity amongst school children and ranks first among girls.” 

The view is that interest within the dance arena will continue to grow for the unforeseeable future, a resulted of which pays witness to a growing service industry with new dance suppliers, dance schools, dance competitions starting up all the time. Plus people training within the field of dance to become professional dancers, teachers, chorographers, physiotherapists, the list could go on and on. 

So with the above in mind, plus having had involvement within the dance industry for the past 19 years as a family - the thought was that we would create a dance directory which is ABOUT Dance. 

We wish to continue our involvement within the field of dance by creating a business which with the help of the whole UK dance community will ultimately build a beneficial and comprehensive dance directory.
