Irish dancing and harmonies in ‘spectacular’ new stage show

International hit show Spirit of the Dance will be making its way to Dartford later this month.

The popular show features a range of different dance styles, including Irish dance, tango, flamenco and salsa.

The successful show has now been seen by some 20 million people around the world since it was first created.

It is produced by David King – who is the creator of productions including Man in the Mirror, Rock Around The Clock, and New Jersey Lights – for Spirit Productions.

Spirit of the Dance has won nine global awards, including best choreography and best international production.

It will be performed at the Orchard Theatre.

Speaking about the show and what it has in store for audiences, a spokeswoman from the theatre explained: “Spirit of the Dance features a spectacular blend of traditional culture that has thrilled audiences all over the world.

“The world champion dancers of the Irish International Dance Company sound like a runaway express train and their frenzied skill and military precision sends shivers down your spine.

“Not one Irish dance shoe steps out of line as the thunderous feet perform as one.”

The show showcases colourful costumes, dynamic lighting and lively choreography.

As well as this, it will also be featuring some special guests - Dublin’s Irish Tenors.

The singers will perform a selection of music including classic Irish songs, opera, pop and swing.

The Orchard Theatre spokeswoman added: “Dublin’s Irish Tenors combine the finest singers in the world, with the result being simply breath-taking.

“With wonderful harmonies and radiant smiles, Dartford crowds will go wild for Dublin’s Irish tenors.”
