ABOUT Dance is currently edging towards developing a new online Dancer Profile service targeted towards assisting long-term career-minded dance professionals such as Dancers, Dance Teachers and Choreographers.
The new online service is being developed as a way in not only assisting those dance professionals to manage their daily, yet often hectic schedules. But also helping provide those professionals with a duty to dance. The ability to be able to undertake regular management of their personal dance career profile, thus retaining an up to date profile of their dance career history, perfectly centralised in one place for career utilisation, such as with job and audition applications.
Our Dancer Profile service will attempt to fill a perceived gap in the market within the niche field of dance, as it’s felt that there's minimal if not nothing which is solely targeted towards those professionals solely in the dance sector. Although many online talent portals promote an array of arts-related performing work opportunities, we feel many do not include, cover or provide the tools a dancer professional requires in this day and age.
As such, those aspiring dance jobs which a dance professional may seek seemingly being out of reach, by not being in the loop of knowing what may or may not be available. Perhaps being more aligned to it’s not what you know it’s whom you know.
The first phase of Dancer Profile is in attracting dance professionals to sign up as members, and for this, there are 3 options:
Interested Member - FREE which means that they will incur at membership at a later date once the site is fully developed.
Founding Member - For a £100 crowd-funded type fee for which they received lifetime membership with no additional site membership costs ever.
Intrigued Member - For a £50 crowd-funded type fee for which they receive a 2-year membership which only starts from the time of official launch.
The site is currently set up to enable dance professionals to join, whilst multiple services aspects are still in development such as dance industry jobs, auditions and workshops listings.
